How to Block Third Party Cookies in Internet Explorer 8
If you’re worried about your privacy, you will probably want to block third party cookies. Third party cookies are typically used by advertising networks to keep track of which websites you visit.
Fortunately, Internet Explorer 8 makes it very easy to disable third party cookies. Simply follow these simple steps:
- In Internet Explorer 8, open the Tools menu and click on Internet Settings.
- Select the Privacy tab.
- Click on the Advanced button.
- Click the box next to Override advanced cookie handling to unlock the settings below.
- Below First-party Cookies make sure Accept is selected.
- Below Third-party Cookies select Block.
- Click OK in all of the open windows.
That’s it! Third party cookies are now disabled.
